Most students begin lessons around age 5–6, though readiness can vary depending on the child. Younger students should be able to focus for short periods, follow simple instructions, and show interest in music. If you're unsure, feel free to reach out and we can help determine if your child is ready.

Students may need: A lesson notebook or practice journal Assigned books or sheet music A pencil for marking music For vocal students: water and printed music if assigned A strong wifi connection Built-in or external webcam, microphone, and speakers Your teacher will let you know exactly what materials are needed as lessons progress.

Lessons are billed on either a weekly or monthly basis to reserve your student’s weekly lesson time. Payments are due at the beginning of each week/month and can be completed through the studio’s payment system (MyMusicStaff). Monthly tuition secures your student’s place in the studio and covers instruction, planning, and studio resources.

For younger students, parents are welcome to sit in on lessons, especially during the first few weeks as students get comfortable with the routine. As students grow more independent, many parents choose to wait nearby or review notes after the lesson. Your teacher will communicate any important updates or practice instructions.

Every student progresses at a different pace depending on age, experience, and practice habits. Students who attend lessons consistently and practice regularly at home tend to see the most growth. Our goal is to help students build strong musical skills while also developing confidence and a love for music.
